March is gone for the year 2008 and April is here. May God receive the glory for the wonderful year that we have seen so far!

I want to say that Joel Engle's study entitled "The Exchange" blessed my heart. Every week seemed to get better and better. Thanks to Eddie for leading the study and for the men who showed up ready to learn from the Word of God.

It was an honor to travel to Indian Trail, North Carolina to the Real Evangelism Bible Conference.  What an awesome time of preaching and worshiping we had.  The music was probably the best I have seen it this year with Greater Vision, Mike Speck Trio & Gold City Quartet.  The preaching was powerful from Dr. Johnny Hunt, Dr. Herb Reavis, Dr. Junior Hill, Dr. Bailey Smith, as well as many others. We also were blessed to be at the Evangelism Conference with the State Convention the week prior.  We heard dynamic preaching from Dr. James Merritt, Dr. Scott Smith, Dr. David Early & Dr. Ken Weathersby. Make plans now for the upcoming year to attend.  You will be gald you did.

Tenative dates have been set for the Mexico Missions trip this year.  The Missions trip is open to everyone.  The sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board.  The sign-up sheets should be done no later than June 10th.  Please see me if you are interested in going this year.  We are supposed to be building a home for a family that we meet when we were in Mexico last year.  Thanks to George & Ruby Grizzard for coordinating this blessing for us.  We will be working with Leatherwood Baptist Church this year.  George & Ruby have been so gracious in assisting us with what we need for our trip.

In closing, Lisa and I would like to thank our Church family for making our 25th Anniversary so special.  We woul like to say a special thanks to Barbara and her staff who made that night so wonderful.  Hebrews 12:14 reminds us: "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."
